it seems that there is no good methods for one to learn a language.
looking back on the process we learnt chinese, we have recited countless characters and countless text and countless poems which make us speak chinese well.
if you want to master a langugage, first you should have the interest.
no interest, no motivity
second, much practice should be emphasized, including listening, writing, reading and speaking. please do not just recite the words, it is useless when you begin to learn a language.
third, practise more.................................
it will be a long period before you could master a language, so please never give up.

As I know, when I started to learn EN, i just acted as a copycat to do what my EN teacher let me to. Another point is , listen to the tap to get the tone frequently.
